Alma Jean "Jeanie" McCoy, 74, of English passed away on Saturday July 20, 2019 at Todd Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 21, 1944 in Crawford County to James Wilson and Alma I. (Duke) Bye.
Jeanie married Carl McCoy on December 31, 1966. She worked at the Department of Agriculture (ASCS) developing the Farmer's Program for 32 years until her retirement. Jeanie was a Member of the Crawford Consolidated Methodist Church, and later in life attended the Hillview Christian Church. She was a dedicated member of the community, volunteering at Church and Sports functions. Jeanie was an avid "Wolfpack" fan and loved to watch her granddaughter Addy Simpson, along with the rest of the team participate in Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James Wilson and Alma I. Bye.
Jeanie is survived by her loving husband of 52 year, Carl McCoy, their daughters; Karen Crecelius, and Tara Simpson, her grandchildren; Mariska Simpson, Lukas Crecelius, Adalina Simpson, Gloria Crecelius, Alayah Riley, her brother, Jimmy Bye, and her nephews; Charlie McCoy, Warren Bye, and Jason Bye.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 11:00 A.M at Hillview Christian Church in Marengo with Pastor Paul Walerzach and Pastor Bruce Hawkins to officiate. Burial will follow at El Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2019 from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Hillview Christian Church and again on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M until the time of service.
