Anita Kennedy, 95, formally of Marengo, IN passed away at her home in Clarksville, IN on Monday, August 2, 2021.

She was born to the late Ivan and Eva (Yates) Thompson on January 21,1926 in Marengo, IN.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband James Kennedy, who she was married to for over 50 years.

Anita is survived by her children Jesse Kennedy of Palmyra, IN, James M. Kennedy (Sharon) of Jeffersonville, IN, Jon A. Kennedy (Jackie) of Milltown, IN, Joseph Kennedy of Conroe, TX, Lucinda McNeal (Randy) of Charlestown, IN, and Tabitha Walls (Johnny) of Douglas, GA. 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Anita was a homemaker who loved to crochet, knit and was an avid quilt maker. She also enjoyed keeping in touch with her pen pals from various parts of the country and even in Australia. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral service will be on Monday, August 9 ^th at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8 ^th from 4-8 PM. Visitation will be from 9 AM until the time of service on Monday at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, IN.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. John Bye with a burial to follow at El Bethel Cemetery.
