Basil F. "Goose Fuzz" Belcher, age 81, of Taswell, IN passed away on June 18, 2018 at Paoli Health and Living in Paoli, IN.

Basil was born to Jesse and Nadine (Lemmon) Belcher on November 20, 1936 in Mifflin, IN.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Donald Belcher and nephew Neal Belcher.

Basil is survived by his wife of 52 years Rose Mary (Jones) Belcher, son Eric (Amy) Belcher, grandsons Laken and Landon Belcher, sisters Joy Ridenour, Judy (Ron) Naegle and Evelyn (Bill) Hammond as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Basil served in the U.S. Navy, he is a retired coal miner and a member of Highfill General Baptist Church.  He enjoyed all things outdoors and was an avid fisherman, card player and loved visiting with family and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm Highfill General Baptist Church, Taswell, IN.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Denbo Funeral Home from 2:00 pm till 8:00 pm and on Thursday, June 21, from 9:00 am till 11:30 pm.

Officiating the funeral service will Rev. John Bye and Bro. Paul Walerczak with burial following at Highfill Chapel Cemetery, Taswell, IN.
