Bobby Gene Smith, 79, of English, IN passed away on May 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, IN.

He was born on December 23, 1941 to Virgil and Castoria (Dosier) Smith in Paris, Ky.

Bobby was a faithful member of The Pilgrim Holiness Church in Milltown, IN, he first and foremost loved the Lord.  Bobby loved playing music and he never meet a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Virgil Smith, Otis Smith, Billie Marcum, Christine Dills, Loretta Price and Raymond Smith.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Janice (Montgomery) Smith, children; Bobby Smith Jr., Rita (Donald) Eddleman, Leslie (Chris Hammond) Smith and Michael (Jessica) Smith, grandchildren; Tony (Christy) Eddleman, Andrew Eddleman, Bryan (Emilee) Smith, Michelle Fetz, Taylor (Phillip) Michelson, and Olivia Smith and great grandchildren; Travis Michelson, Ty Smith, Dylan Cunningham, Kayden Cunningham and Bentley Cunningham and his brother Samuel Smith.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home, English, IN.  Pastor Doug Cox will be officiating the funeral service.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 25 from 2:00 pm until service time of 6:00 pm.
