Brenda Sue Blomquist, 74, of Eckerty, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper, Indiana surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 4, 1951, in Battletown, Kentucky to John and Mildred (Kendall) Kenley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Kenley, her husband, Walter Blomquist, her sons, Brian and Walter Blomquist, her brothers; Jerry, Raymond, Lawrence, and Gary Kenley.

Brenda is survived by her lifelong partner of 45 years, Ronald Hartwick, her beloved beagle, King Leo, her daughter, Vanessa (Robert) Green), her grandson, Walter Wheeler, and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a true Bingo Nut! You could often find her playing the slot machines at the casino. Brenda was a very outspoken not shy about anything, she would tell you how it is. Brenda had the biggest heart of gold and the best sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 16, 2026, at 1:00 P.M EST at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana with Bro. Chris Lee to officiate. Friends may visit on Thursday July 16, 2026, from 12:00 P.M EST until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Taswell Cemetery.
