Charles Edward Forbes, 90, of Clarksville, IN formally of Mifflin, IN passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Wedgewood Health Care in Clarksville, Indiana.

He was born December 8, 1927 in Marion Co. Indiana, to Orville and Agnes (Laswell) Forbes.

Charles was a United States Army Veteran stationed in Korea, where he served as a T2 Signalman. . Charles was Honorably Discharged and returned home to marry Betty Lou (Linton) Forbes on May 14, 1948. He worked for Indiana Bell Telephone for 36 years until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, guns, bowling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Nina Lauren Hogan of Clarksville, IN, Kevin (Jill) Forbes of Georgetown, IN,  his grandchildren; Jessica, Jacob, and Jason Forbes of Georgetown, IN, his siblings; Donald (Susan) Forbes of Pigeon Forge, TN Terry (Betty) Forbes of Saint Anthony, IN, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Lou Forbes, his parents Orville and Agnes, his siblings Barbara Forbes, Elmer Forbes, Lester Roy Forbes, Elvin Forbes.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana with Pastor John Bye officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at Denbo Funeral Home.
