Charles Edward Lynch, age 62, of Doolittle Mills, died on Thursday morning, March 9, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Charlie was born on April 19, 1954 at The Stork memorial Hospital in Huntingburg, Indiana to Harold Edward Lynch of St. Croix and the late Rosie Mae (Kellams) Lynch.
Besides his mother he is preceded in death by his grandparents Gladys (Lamon) Lynch, Russell Lynch, Mable (Hammond) Kellams Lynch and Ernest Kellams, a daughter Lois Emily Lynch; and a son, Jonathan Schrader.
Charlie is survived by the mother of his children Cinda (peters) Lynch of Doolittle Mills; two daughters Tammy (Gary) Grant of New Albany and Harvest Bean of Tell City; two sons Jeremiah D. Lynch of Doolittle Mills and Charles (Katrina) Lynch Jr. of Birdseye, nine grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Schrader, Cory, Christopher and Angel Grant, Baylie and Simon Bean and Charlize and Meka Lynch, three great-grandchildren Anna Raye and Patrick Grant and Easton Bean; two sisters Brenda (Danny) Madden of Birdseye and Sheila (Jake) Borden of Doolittle Mills, a brother David (Michelle) Lynch and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was baptized on June 4, 1964 by Bro. Collis Critchfield and was a member of the Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills. Charlie was also a member of the Evansville District Walk to Emmaus. He attended Perry Central School and was once a member of the US Navy. He was a member of Local 669 Sprinkle Pipefitters. Charlie enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
Charlie had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm (Fast Time) at The Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills. Visitation will begin at begin at 10:00 am. Bro. Albert Madden will be officiating the funeral service with burial to follow at Doolittle Mills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made toward the funeral arrangements.
