Claris Haley, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, in Louisville, Ky.

She was born on February 6,1944, in Taswell, Indiana to the late Bernie and Maggie Hollen.

Claris married James Haley in 1963. She was a loving wife and mother. Claris loved fishing and being out on the boat with James. She loved singing in the choir at Jericho church and singing with her sister on the weekends. Claris loved to spend time with her family, and she also enjoyed the Kentucky Derby.

Claris was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Hollen and her siblings Billy Hollen, Joyce Hammond, Bonnie McGee and Fern Sipher.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Sheroan (Kevin), her grandchildren, James Baker (Courtney) and Donald Sheroan. She also survived by her great-grandchildren, Caleb Baker, Olivia Baker and Xavier Sheroan.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M EST at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana with Pastor Doug Phillips to officiate. Friends may visit on Monday, September 21 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Then again on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M EST until the time of service at 11:00 A.M at Denbo Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Jericho Cemetery, Taswell, Indiana
