Daniel Halbauer, 77, of Marengo passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He married Connie (Sprowles) Halbauer on May 31, 1969.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah (Shaw) Halbauer.

Daniel is survived by his wife, a daughter, Shannon Sanders, and a granddaughter, Neneh Sanders. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters.

Daniel was a carpenter and donated his talents to help build Habit for Humanity Houses working alongside with many of his friends. Daniel loved to garden and being outdoors.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 AM till 2:00 PM EST at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo. Cremation was chosen for Daniel after the visitation.
