David William Oakes, age 62, of Leavenworth, IN passed away at University of Louisville, Louisville, KY on February 23, 2016.
David was born on September 26, 1953 to the late George R. Oakes and the late Clara J. (Hockman) Oakes in Louisville, KY.
Surviving David are 2 daughters, Hope McRath of South Carolina and Sherinia Lynn Smith of Alabama and sister Jeannie Parr of Leavenworth, IN and many nieces and nephews along with 5 grandchildren.
Preceding David in death are Raymond R. Oakes and Terry Warren Oakes.
David was an Air Force Veteran.
Cremation was chosen with no service at this time. Dillman-Green Funeral of Marengo, IN provided the arrangements.
