Dennis Collins, age 80, passed away at I.U. Medical Center in Bloomington on July 13, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Collins, of 62 years, daughter Barbara Denise (Collins) Goerlitz, grandchildren includes Emerald Fischer (David), William (Bill) Goerlitz (Kendra), great grandchildren Steven Speedy, Hannah Speedy, Lilah Goerlitz and Coraline Goerlitz. He was in the Navy for years and he was an Electronics teacher at Rego Vocational School. He was stationed 55 different places, such as Scotland, in his 30 year military career. He was on the U.S.S. Bushnell and the U.S.S. Hunley. During his career, he was President Johnson private X-ray technician for 4 years. He enjoyed fixing anything electronic, he loved his birds and his flower gardens. He was an amazing man with an amazing life.Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 am at Denbo Funeral Home and burial will follow at Taswell Cemetery, Taswell, IN. Arrangements were provided by Denbo Funeral Home.
