Donald "Donnie" Woodrow Carothers, age 75, of English, IN completed his journey to his eternal home on January 20, 2017at Kindred Transitional Care Harrison in Corydon, IN.
Donnie was born on January 17, 1942, he is the son of Earl E. Mildred Mitchell Carothers in Taswell, IN. He graduated from English High School in 1960. He married Anna Marie Brown on June 1, 1962 and this union was blessed with 4 children.
He was a retired machinist and fork life operator from International Harvester Company (Navistar) and a retired truck driver from Newton Planning Mill. After retirement he was a part time Security Guard at Jasper Engines and Transmissions Carefree facility up until the time of his illness in Mid-November.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Garrell Ray Carothers.
He is survived by his wife Anna, daughter Amanda (Chuck) Montgomery of English, two sons, Wayne (Tarra) Carothers of English and Ralph Carothers of Taswell, a sister Bonnie Cantrell of Indianapolis, Indiana, three grandchildren Garrel, Travis and Brianna Carothers, three great grandchildren Mary, Abby and Gavin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24 at 1:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home, English, IN.
Visitation will be Monday, January 23, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time.
