William Emmett Mitchell, age 76, of Eckerty, IN passed away on October 7, 2017 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Emmett was born on May 30, 1941 to Emery Mitchell and Myrtle (Atkins) Mitchell in Eckerty, IN.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving Emmett are his wife of 30 years, Norma Mitchell, children Brian Kirk Mitchell, Lori (David) Peterson, stepchildren Keith (Michelle) Englert, Bradley (Vicki) Englert, Jeffrey (Pam) Englert and Stacy Schipp, along with 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 11 step grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren, and siblings Stanley Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, Goldie Faulkner and Ethel Merry.
Emmett was a retired Sergeant 1st Class in the U.S. Army.
Funeral will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and from 9:00 until service time.
Bro. Albert Madden will be officiating the funeral service with burial following at Potters Cemetery.
