Esther M. Knight, age 96, of Grantsburg, IN passed away on September 26, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
Esther was born to the late Coy and Ressie (Marshall) Longest on July 7, 1920 in Crawford County, IN.
Surviving Esther is daughter Diana Smith (Leonard) of Grantsburg, half-sister Sylvia Grubbs, half-brothers Roy Longest, Coy Longest and Hershel Longest, along with 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death by husband Arthur Knight, deceased in 1985, sons Charles Knight and Kenneth Knight. Along with siblings Cleo Dooley, Nellie Keith, Verona Sheehan, Cory Stepo, infant brother Charles Longest and half-brother Johnny Lee Longest.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Dillman-Green Funeral Home, Marengo.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until service at 11:00 am.
Bro. Philo Jones will be officiating the funeral service with burial following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Eckerty, IN.
