Eva May Wayman Mitchell, age 70, of Birdseye, IN passed away at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY on February 6, 2015.
Eva was born to the late Melvin and Hazel (Wiseman) Wayman on December 25, 1944 in Winslow, IN.
She was married to Marion Mitchell in October 1960.
Her children are Chris Mitchell (Paula), Tell City, Carla Sturm (Terry), Eckerty, Danny (Janice) Mitchell, Milltown, Stacey (Rose) Mitchell, French Lick, Walter Mitchell, Birdseye, and Daron Mitchell, Huntingburg.
Eva has a brother, Fred Hammond of Huntingburg and a sister, Mary Metz of English.
Eva has 11 grandchildren, Lauran Sturm, Andrea Clark, Haleigh Mitchell, Sydney Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Tyler Sturm, Kyle Mitchell, Derek Mitchell, Corey Mitchell, Shane Mitchell and Aaron Mitchell.
Eva has 1 great grandchild, Hank Clark.
In 1957 Eva and her twin brother, Bob, who preceded her in death, where both baptized at River View Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, IN.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook homestyle meals. She and Marion loved to volunteer their time singing at various churches and nursing homes.
Eva was preceded in death by her brothers Bobby Wayman, Dave Wayman, Richard Wayman, Harvey Hammond, Billy Hammond, sisters Norma Abel and granddaughter Katie Mitchell.
Visitation will be Monday, February 9, 2015 at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm (fast time). Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN. Burial will follow at Bethany Union Cemetery in Eckerty, IN.
