Garrel L. Carr, age 78, of Birdseye, passed away on August 21, 2015 at Scenic Hill Care Center in Ferdinand, IN.
Garrell Carr was born to the late Charles and Eva (Pavey) Carr on August, 23, 1936 in Crawford County Indiana.
He was preceded in death by late wife Janet (Patton) Carr, sons Kevin (Laurie) and Keith (Jill) Carr and John Buford, sisters Theta Belle Parrot, Pauline Beard, Willa Carr and Bernice McArdle. Surviving brothers are Jack Carr, Leo Carr and Eugene Carr.
Garrel was married to Wanda Burford Carr on August 1, 2009.
His surviving children are Karla (Terry) Wilkes, Kim (Eric) Bean and Donna (Jerry) Huff.
He has 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Garrel worked construction, was President of the Crawford County School Board, a Deacon at Highfill Chapel Church and a member of the Eckerty Masonic Lodge 719.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 25 at 11:00 am at Highfill Chapel Church in Taswell, IN.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until service time at Highfill Chapel Church.
Burial will follow at Highfill Cemetery in Taswell, IN.
