Gary Dewayn Guthrie, 55, of Leopold, Indiana passed away on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at his home.

He was born on July 4, 1969, in New Castle, Indiana to Donald G. Guthrie and Rosie (Walters).

Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Hall, and his brother, Darrell Kent.

He graduated High School at East Brook High School. Gary was a believer of the Christian faith. He worked at the Department of Transportation of Indiana. Gary liked to horseback ride, ride motorcycles, hunt, fish and go boating with his friends and family.

He is survived by his lifetime partner, Cindy Laswell, his father, Donald G. (Connie) Guthrie, his children, Brandon (Randi) Guthrie, Josh Guthrie, Jenny Ann Guthrie, Step- Children, Karen Meier, Grandchildren, Zoei Guthrie, Arii Guthrie, Step – Grandchildren, Xavier Meier, Damien Meier, his siblings, SueAnn Flint, Leslie K. Lewis, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen according to Gary's wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
