Gloria Faye Newkirk was born October 14, 1942 to the late Mary Jane and William Rickenbaugh.  She was 1 of 15 children.

She is survived by 7 of her siblings; Lulabell Britt, Ruby Coomes, Charles Rickenbaugh, Melvin Rickenbaugh, Marvin (Hop) Rickenbaugh, Kenneth Rickenbaugh and Marilyn Pinnick, her children; Donna (Greg) Gurtz of Depauw, Melissa (Timmy) Isaacs of Ramsey and Gary Morris of Birdseye, her grandchildren; Jessica Lincoln, Brandi Gurtz, Maria Maley and Lloyd Meek, along with 8 great grandchildren.

Gloria was born and raised in Taswell, IN. during World War ll. She spent 28 years of her life living in Milltown, IN in the Milltown Housing.  She made friends and entertained people everywhere she went.  Gloria lived a vivacious and spirited life.  She survived hard times and like most people tried to make the most of her life.  There was never a dull moment in her life.  Gloria loved to fill her life with family, pretty things and stuffed animals.  She was the type of person who would not let other push her around.  Even when they maybe didn't deserve it, she would still set them straight.  Gloria on multiple occasions put people in their places.  She was an honest woman who did not hold her tongue.  But more than anything else she was a loving woman.  She maybe did not always know how to show it but she loved hard.  Once you were in Gloria's heart you were there forever.  She would treasure everything and every moment she had with the people she loved.

Funeral service for Gloria will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN at 11:30 am.

Visitation will be Monday, February 22, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:30 am.
