Gordon Gerald Gilliland, age 94, of English, IN passed away on July 13, 2015 at Veteran's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Gordon was born on October 27, 1920 to the late Lloyd and Dolly (Longest) Gilland in English, IN.
He was married to Hannah (Jones) Gilliland for 74 years. They had 4 sons, Frankie, Gordon J. (deceased), Timothy and Douglas Patrick Gilland (deceased).
Gordon had a brother Ralph Gilliland (deceased) and 2 sisters, Ethel Dileo (deceased)and Violet Manes (deaceased).
He has 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Gordon was a farmer and also worked for the State Highway Dept. as a Supervisor and for the County Highway Dept. as a Supervisor.
Gordon was a County Chairman for the Democrat Party for Crawford County, Indiana.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be Friday, July 24, 2015 at Denbo Fuenral home at 7:00 pm. Visitation will start at 6:00 pm.
Family has requested no flowers please.
Burial will follow at Mather Cemetery in English, IN.
Arrangements were provided by Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN.
