Harry E. Speedy, 78, of Eckerty passed away on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Floyd Baptist Health Hospital in New Albany.

He was born on June 1, 1941 in Eckerty, Indiana to Russel and Dorothy (Flick) Speedy.

Harry was a United States Army Veteran. He was a diesel mechanic and retired from Local 181. Harry was a member of the Eckerty Christian Church, and the Eckerty Masonic Lodge 719.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Russel and Dorothy Speedy, and one son Michael "Mike" Speedy, his sisters; Edith Offet, Virginia Wilson, Anna May Collier, Betty "Sue" Ball, his half-brother, William "Pete" Speedy, his half sister Evelyn Deel.

Harry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice (Peabody) Speedy, his son Harry "Doug" Speedy and his wife Lisa (Ingle) Speedy, his daughter Carletta Speedy, his grandchildren; Shane Speedy, Tiffany Lemond, Bobby "T" Faulkenburg, his great grandchildren; Hayden King, Kaydence Lemond, Jolin Lemond, Ryder Law, his daughter – in- law Kathy Fields, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 11:00 A.M at Denbo Funeral Home in English with Bro. Albert Madden and Bro. Bob Kelly to officiate. Military rights will follow in Eckerty Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday September 16, 2019 from 4:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 P.M at the funeral home.
