Howard Raines, age 82, of English, IN passed away on June 6, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Howard was born on August 31, 1932 to the late Ramon Piercy and the late Flonnie Raines in Slickford, KY.
He was married to the late Eula Mae (Snyder) Raines on January 1, 1954.
Howard's children are Vickie (Kenny) Haycox, Charlene White (Michael) (dec.), Debra (John) Bement, Karen (Gary) Morris.
Howard's brothers are Buster and Glen Raines and preceding in death are Clyde Raines (dec.) and his sisters are Vela Bertram (dec.), and Belvie (dec.)
His grandchildren are Gary and Michael Colber, Chance Haycox, Sarah Ridener McGregor (dec.), Howard S. J. Ridener (dec.), Robert W. Ridener, Chris and Alex Wilson. Great grandchildren are Jakob and Kaylee Bement, Dorryann, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Samuel, Anna Beth Ridener and Ariana McGregor (dec.)
He was retired from Hoosier Energy Local 369. He worked as an Electrical Lineman.
Howard enjoyed being a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. He was also a member of the Beechwood Coon Hunters Association. Howard enjoyed hunting and raising cattle. He was an all around countr y guy and he enjoyed Bluegrass Music very much.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN.
Visitation will be Monday, June 8 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until service at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, IN.
