James Clinton Drake, age 79, of Eckerty, IN passed away on June 17, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.
James was born on July 22, 1937 to the late Ralph and Irene (Goodman) Drake in Evansville, IN.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings Donna Copple and Edward Drake.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Mary Ann (Howe) Drake, children Deanna Etienne (Tom) of Derby, April (Keith) Chanley of Louisiana, Jamie (Chastity) Wiseman of Eckerty, and Shannon (Ron) Kemp of Huntingburg, siblings Mary (Allen) Greene of Nevada, Esther (Ronnie) Sanders of Mississippi, grandchildren Shane Ramsey of Kentucky, Jamie Zellears of Leopold, Destiney Webb of Kentucky, LeAnna James of Magnet, Billie Jo Garcia of Georgia, Bobbie Riley of Louisiana, BJ Puckett of Louisiana, Katie Swenson of English, Ethan Ingle of Eckerty and Jake Andry of Eckerty, along with many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
James retired from truck driving after 19 years and 50 years in trucking management.
Cremation was chosen with burial at Taswell Cemetery at a later date.
