James A. Eastridge, 79 of Grantsburg, IN. passed away at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at The Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, IN.
He was born September 18, 1934, in Grantsburg, IN. to Orville M. and Dessie O. (Vanderver) Eastridge.
He married Annie Mae Speedy in 1954.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Violet L. M. (Eastridge) Sturgeon, his wife and son James L. Eastridge.
He was retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY.
James was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran of the Korean War. He was a Member of the Indiana Sheriff's Assoc., Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonials, member of the Moose Lodge and James was a Mason. He enjoyed his collection of antiques, traveling and preserving family history through research and photos.
James was survived by daughters Marylin A. Eastridge and Rebecca J. (Eastridge) Bates of Lexington, KY and a sister Jan C. (Eastridge) Jenkins of Tampa, FL.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery at Grantsburg, IN.
