James L. "Jim" Cox, 70, of Jasper passed away on Friday February 21, 2020 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.

He was born on April 23, 1949 in Paoli, Indiana to the late James Ralph "J.R" and Marguerite (Heitz) Cox.

Jim was a United States Air Force Veteran. He retired from Crane Naval Base. Jim liked hunting, fishing, and being at the beach. He enjoyed traveling to Texas to spend time with his family and watching Texas Longhorn Football games.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.R and Marguerite Cox.

Jim is survived by his children; James (Amanda) Cox, and Katherine Cox, his grandchildren; Holly Cox, Xavier Saenz, Deja Jimenez, Serenity Jimenez, Audrina Jimenez, Ariana Jimenez, his sister, Carol Preflatish, and one niece.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday February 26, 2020 at 11:00 A.M at Denbo Funeral Home. Burial and Military rights will follow in Mather's Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M at Denbo Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Homeless Veteran's Association - SIVLAR - Southern Indiana Veterans Living and Rehab.
