James Fredrick Lerud, age 77, of Grantsburg, IN passed away on June 11, 2017 at Harrison County Hospital, Corydon, IN.
James was born to the late Fredrick J. Lerud and the late Doris (Bradso) Lerud on June 11, 1940 in Fargo, North Dakota.
James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Carol Stewart.
Surviving James is wife of 55 years, Brenda (Preston) Lerud, son Bruce (Janette) Lerud, daughter Karen (Jeff) McIntosh, grandson Brian Lerud and a brother Jerry Lerud.
James worked as a General Contractor during his life. He loved to build. He was a member of the Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church, English, IN.
Graveside funeral service will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Union Chapel Cemetery in Grantsburg, IN.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home, English, IN.
In lieu of flowers donates may be made to the Lincoln Hills United Methodist Church Food Pantry. The checks should be made out to LHUMC Food Pantry.
