Janet S. Walton, age 79, of Taswell, IN passed away on January 5, 2023 at Paoli Health and Living in Paoli, IN.

She was born on November 1, 1943 to Simon Hammond and Helen (Wiseman) Hammond in Taswell, IN.

Janet retired from driving a School Bus for Crawford County School Corp. after more than 30 years.  She loved spending time with family and she really enjoyed her many grandchildren.  Janet also love raising her hogs, flower gardening, her dogs, she enjoyed fishing and hunting Ginseng.  Her children loved her great cooking as they were growing up.  She attended Highfill Chapel Church and Fairview General Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Walton, and her siblings; Ralph Hammond, Gordon Hammond, Mary Ruth Brown, Joyce Hammond, and Shirley White.

Janet is survived by her children; Bill Bean, Eric (Kim) Bean, Molly (Steve) Rohl, Amy (Bob) Beckman, Rita (Ron) Recker, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, along with her siblings; Bob Hammond, Gary Hammond, and Louise Wright.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home.

Visitation will also be on Sunday, January 8, from 11:00 am until the service time of 3:00 pm.

Cremation will follow with no burial.
