Janis Johnson, 64, a 4 1/2-year resident of Harrison Health Rehab went to her Heavenly home on January 28, 2021.

She was born in New Albany, Indiana on February 11 to Owen and Mary Johnson. Janis was raised in Leavenworth, Indiana where she graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1974.

Janis worked approximately 16 years at the Corydon, Indiana Walmart as a cashier. Previous to that she worked at the 76 Truck Stop in Carefree, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents Owen and Mary (Goldman) Johnson.

She is survived by her brothers: Mitchell (Donna) of English, IN; Mark (Linda) of Louisville, KY; Douglas (Mitzy) of Corydon, IN; Richard of Leavenworth, IN. Sisters are: Sandra Evans of Leavenworth, IN and Jennifer (Wayde) Sturgeon of English, IN. Nieces and Nephews include Dee, Josh, Sarah, Aaron, Brandy, Diana, Dawn, Lee, Jane, Leslie and Amanda.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, IN.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3 from 10:00 am until service time.

Janis' final resting place will be in Fredonia Cemetery in Leavenworth, IN.  Bro. Paul Wise will officiate the funeral service.
