On July 19, 2018, Jerry Benham passed away suddenly at the age of 53 years.  Jerry will be remembered by his friends and family as a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend who lived a life dedicated to his passions.  He loved spending his life in the woods, including his sole occupation of logging beginning at the age of 16.  He dedicated 11 years of his life to being an esteemed member of the English Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife and following his love of racing, attending the Indy 500 for over 25 years.  Most of all, he enjoyed doting on his granddaughter, who turned the strong woodsman into a gentle Pappy.

Jerry is survived by his parents Donald and Beverly Benham; wife and best friend of 33 years, Lisa Benham; children Justin Lee Benham (Megan), Chelsea Rae Benham (fiancé Gregory Ross), Cody Ryan Benham (girlfriend Tessa Lemire); grandchildren Nora Grace Benham and expected Baby Boy Benham; siblings Connie Leffler (Gary), Ron Benham, Jenny Jones (Craig); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

All services will be held at Hillview Christian Church in Marengo, IN.  Visitation will be held Sunday, July 22 from 3-7 pm and Monday, July 23 from 9-11 am.  Memorial Celebration will be Monday, July 23 at 11 am.

Bro. Paul Walerczak and Bro. Bruce Hawkins will be officiating the funeral service with burial to follow at the Mifflin Cemetery, Mifflin, IN.
