Joan P. Lenard, age 81, passed away on May 27, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.
She was born to the late John F. Ehmke and the late Harvella (Shapard) Ehmke on August 10, 1935 in Kingsman, Kansas.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Shierly Pontius and 1 great grandchild.
Surviving Joan are her children Rick (Lori) Lind of Loogootee, IN, Debbie (Larry) Lind of Kennsaw, GA, Danny King of English, IN, Betty (Chuck) Norman of Leopold, IN, and Rusty Lenard of Leavenworth, IN. Along with siblings John Ehmke and Lillian Walace, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Along with being mother and grandmother to her family she worked as a nurse's aide. Joan was affiliated with The Lutheran Church in Colorado.
Funeral service will be Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home, English, IN.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.
