Kenneth Gerald Metz, age 79, of New Albany passed away on Friday January 17, 2020 at his home.
He was born on July 20, 1940 in Perry County, Indiana to the late Goble and Naomi (Austin) Metz.
Gerald retired from LG&E and Miller Pipeline Company.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Metz, 2 Great- Grandchildren; Alexis Metz, Silas Metz, his parents; Goble and Naomi Metz, and his siblings; Marjorie Hazelwood, and Lloyd Metz.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ruth Evelyn (Sloan) Metz, his children; Angela (Larry) Sheckell, Cynthia (Paul) Metz, Ken (Tiffany) Metz, 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great- Grandchildren, his siblings; George Metz, Phyllis Ann Metz, Tom Metz, Roger Metz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, Indiana. Burial will follow in Marengo Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, Indiana.
