Leslie Randolph "Les" Kessinger, age 72 of Marengo, IN passed away on September 18, 2017 at the Robley Rex VA Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Les was born on May 25, 1945 to Leslie R. Kessinger Sr. and Doris (Kendall) Kessinger in Shepherdsville, Ky.
On December 1, 1979 he married Barbara (Donan) Kessinger.
Preceding Les in death are his parents, and a brother Howard Gene Kessinger.
Surviving are wife Barbara, children Gina Tyler, David Shane Thien, Stephanie (Billy) Coakley, Leslie Kaye (Greg) Penny, Leslie R. Kessinger III, Kristi Kessinger, seven grandchildren Camaron Coakley, Amanda Tyler, Michaela Tyler, Dominic Penny, Piper Penny, Lincoln Jarvis and Haven Kessinger, his sister Joyce (Glenn) Zollman and sister-in-law Janet Kessinger.
Les was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served proudly, he then went to work at Ford Motor Co. in Louisville, KY where he retired from. He enjoyed many things in his life, such as woodworking, reading and watching documentaries, taking driving trips, big family dinners where he could more than feed everyone, and all the good times at The Place to Be Restaurant at the Liars Table. Les attended Community Worship Chapel in Marengo. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, IN.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 21 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until service time.
