Margaret Wright, 89, of Taswell, Indiana passed away on April 15, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 12, 1937, in Winnebago, MN, to Russell and Margaret (Leitchenburg) Woodford. Margaret married Jordan Wright Jr. on December 31, 1955.

Margaret was known for her caring attitude and was very giving, she was always ready to give a helping hand to those in need. She possessed a great sense of humor that she will be remembered by many. Margaret also enjoyed traveling, a long trip or short trip didn't matter to her, she just enjoyed seeing different parts of the country.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Laurie Johnston, Sherry (Joe) Mullen, Pam Cross, Sheila (Artie) Montgomery and her son, Terry Wright. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. Margaret is also survived by a sister, Carol Hawkins and a brother, David Woodford.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan, her parents, Russell and Margaret, sisters, Charlotte Brown, Shirley Day and Helen Schenk, and a brother Ronald Woodford.

Cremation was chosen per Margaret's wishes, and a Celebration of Life service will be held in Illinois at a later date, where she lived before moving to Indiana.
