Obituary

Marolyn Holzbog, age 79, of English, IN passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 22, 2025.

She was born on November 9, 1945, to the late Charles Owen and Bertie Pauline (Dooley) Vandeveer.  She married Sammie Holzbog on December 23, 1962, and enjoyed 62 years of being together.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Leatha Fern Brittian.

Marolyn is survived by her husband, children, Allen (Lisa) Holzbog, Charles (Pam) Holzbog and Michael (Renae) Holzbog. Grandchildren, Andrew (Makenzie) Holzbog, Kyle (Shelby) Holzbog, Jami (Jeff) VonHeimburg, Taylor (Ben) McIntosh, Jadyn Holzbog, Camryn Holzbog, Jacob Beckman and Morgan Holzbog. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marolyn loved to sing and traveled for many years with the group "Peace Crusaders". She enjoyed her flower gardens, fishing and attending Crawford high school basketball games.   She also enjoyed spending time at horse pulls with her family and friends.

Marolyn also was a member of the Eastern Star organization, and she was on the board of directors of Hoosier Uplands for many years. She was a lifelong member of Highfill Chapel Church.

Visitation will be at the Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5-8. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM with the Bro. Al Madden and Bro. Randy Pittman officiating. Visitation on Saturday will be from 9 AM until the service time. Burial will be in the Highfill Chapel Cemetery in Taswell.
