Michael Ray Smith, age 69, of Birdseye, IN passed away on September 17, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.
Mike was born on June 12, 1948 to Everett E. Smith and Louise Alice (Snider) Smith in New Albany, IN.
Preceding Mike in death are his parents.
Surviving Mike are his children Monica Smith of Jasper and Mark Smith of Jasper, three grandchildren and his sisters Linda Mason, Marcia (Steve) Brown, Susan (Terry) Harmon and Norma (Doug) Lorey.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from the Railroad.
Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, September 24 at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN at 4:00 pm with visitation at 2:00 pm.
