Nova Sturgeon, age 75, of English, IN passed away Tuesday January 14, 2020 at Ferdinand Scenic Hills at the monastery in Ferdinand, IN surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late George and Anna (Hall) Hensley on July 26, 1944 in Doolittle Mills, In.

Preceding Nova in death are her son Bub Sturgeon, her parents; George and Anna Hensley, and her sister Lorraine Propes.

Nova is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lee Sturgeon, children; Starlet (Doug) Chambers, Chris (Jason) Kunkler and Wade (Tina) Sturgeon, grandchildren; Ryan Chambers, Dakota Kunkler, Kiona Kunkler and Kaitlyn Sturgeon, great-grandchildren; Alexis Chambers, Preston Chambers, Bryson Kunkler and Kynlee Kunkler, and her siblings; Estil Hensley, Ethel Underhill, Frank Hensley and Albert Hensley.

Nova is remembered as a loving friend, and generous lady.  She was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, even stray animals.  She loved the outdoors, spending time with family, grandchildren, and working puzzles with her family.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN. Burial will follow at Doolittle Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18 at Denbo Funeral Home in English from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Doolittle Mills Cemetery, or River Valley Humane Society of Crawford County.
