Penny Ruth Sturgeon, 61, of Taswell, IN passed away at her home on June 28, 2020.

She was born on August 30, 1958 to Anthony Hardesty and Blanche (Kellems) Hardesty in Andyville, KY.

Penny was a very loving person, she helped raised many grandchildren and loved caring for her family.  She was a very dedicated member of Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church.  If someone needed help or a place to stay, they knew to come to Penny.  She will be very missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Anthony Hardesty, Anna Smith, and Joe Hardesty.

Penny is survived by her husband of 31 years Carl Sturgeon, her children; Sunshine (Jeremy) Cooper, Thomas (Emily) Kenley, David (Lindsey) Sturgeon, Crystal (Jordan) Miller, Tony Sturgeon, Jason Sturgeon, Shannon Skelton, and Christina Kirk, grandchildren; Cameron, Landon and Ledgon Cooper, Tristan, Cordale, Chelsea, Carly and Zoey Kenley, Raylee and Brandon Miller, Lilly, Jared and Kiley Sturgeon, Ashton Skelton, Tristin, Trenten, Brenton, Kyle, Landan and Chasity Kirk, Keian Free and Becca Daugherty,  great-grandchildren; Brantley Kenley, Parker Kenley, Aiden Cooper and Aurora Herr and her sister Linda Hartwick.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church in English, IN.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am at Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church until service time of 2:00 pm.
