Peter Groote, age 77, of Palmyra, IN passed away at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Ky on August 3, 2019.

Peter was born to Peter Groote and Frances (Topa) Schelkoph on January 14, 1942 in Chicago, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving Peter are his wife Gail Bays, children; Peter E. (Pam) Groote, Robert (Kathy) Reed and Jeffery (Gail) Reed along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and siblings; William (Kathy) Groote and Donna (Bruce) Genia.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Greenville, IN at 11:30 am.  Earl Clark will be officiating the funeral service.
