Polly R. (Combs) Hilgeman, of Depauw, IN, died on August 30, 2023 at Harrison Healthcare in Corydon, IN. Polly was born on October 11, 1937 in Hazard, KY to the late Henry and Lottie (Stidham) Combs.

She married the love of her life, the late Raymond Hilgeman, on April 5, 1969. Though her marriage was short lived it was the happiest time of her life. Polly was an avid reader, loved trivia and playing Scrabble. She loved her family and was always happy to spend time with them.

Besides her parents and her husband Polly is preceded in death by her brothers Oscar, John (Ish), Emmett and Kenneth Combs. Her sisters Allene Murphy, Murlena Koroll, Omeda Beswick, Bonnie Borradaile and Pauline Combs.

Polly is survived by her brother Gary Douglas Combs of Saltillo, IN. Sisters Patricia (Susie) Free of Paoli, Sandra Wells of Marengo, IN and Judy Miller of Parker, Colorado. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 on Friday, September 1, 2023 with service starting at 2:00 PM at the Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo, IN.

Pastor Brian Combs will officiate the service.

Interment will be at Saint Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery in Holland, Dubois County, IN.
