Ralph Smitson, age 71, of Eckerty, IN died at 6:43 p.m. on April 11 pm, 2015 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN.
He was born in Eckerty, IN on September 12, 1943 to Marvin and Freida (Brown) Smitson.
Surviving are his mother, Freida Smitson, four children, Richard, Joe, Kristin Smitson and Jaime Johnson
Also surviving are two brothers, Terry and Ray Smitson, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Smitson and a brother Donald Smitson.
Memorial services will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church in Birdseye with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery.
