Richard James Lester Jr., age 65, of Martinsville, IN, formerly of English, IN passed away at his home on July 11, 2019 in Martinsville, IN.

Richard was born to Richard Lester Sr. and Ressie (Britt) Lester on May 16, 1954 in Martinsville, IN.

He was a veteran of the Marine, he served for 5 years and a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church. Richard is a former Crawford county Police Officer, an English Town and Marengo Town Marshall.  He served our county for 19 years with his service.  He was the owner of the former English Skating Rink.  Richard was a Husband, Dad, brother, Papaw, Uncle and a Friend.

Preceding Richard in death are his parents, his sibling; Richalyn Wright, Luke and William Lester and brother-in-law Dobbins Carter.

Surviving Richard is his wife of 39 years Deborah (Thomson) Lester, his children; Donavan (Kristina) Keith, T.J. (Amanda) Lester, Nicole Mercer, Julius Lester and Palo (Ariel) Lester along with 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Richard will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Marengo, IN.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Denbo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until service time.

Burial will be at the Taswell Cemetery with Military Rites being preformed at the cemetery.
