Richard Allen Rayles Jr., 70, of Taswell passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at IU Medical Center in Bloomington.
He was born January 30, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Richard Allen and Doris Fay (Eddleman) Rayles.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War earning a National Defense Service Medal in Expert Rifle M- 14. Richard was a Free Mason #470, and a member of the English VFW Post 6160. He earned degrees from Auburn University and the University of Evansville. He owned and operated Rayles Barbershop in English and was a retired salesman. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Richard is survived by his children; Renee' Rayles, and Richard Rayles III (Jenna Lyn), and two grandchildren; Xavier Dade, and Elizabeth Rayles, and one brother Ralph Rayles.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana officiated by Rev. John Bye. Burial will follow in Leavenworth Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
