Ruth Louise Grunden, age 79, of English, IN passed away on February 23, 2017 at IU Health Hospital in Bloomington, IN.

Ruth was born to the late James Bowman and the late Marie (Duke) Patton on October 15, 1937 in Crawford County, IN.

Preceding Ruth in death are her husband Owen Grunden, sisters Dorothy Dunn and Barbara Johnson and granddaughter Phylicia Vaught.

Surviving Ruth are children Robin (Don) Moon, Ramona (Rex) Allen, Roberta (Mike) Vaught, Renita Grunden (John Wells) and Richard Grunden (Teresa Young). Along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and sister Mary Alice Baker.

Ruth was a member of the Marengo United Methodist Church in Marengo and a member of the Marengo Women's Auxiliary Post 84 of Marengo. She was avid gardener, she retired from Aristocrat Cabinets and worked with her husband Owen in Grunden Hardware in Marengo and English Hardware in English.

Funeral Service will be Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Marengo United Methodist Church, south of Marengo, IN.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Dillman-Green Funeral Home from 12:00 pm till 6:00 pm and at the church on Monday from 9:00 am until service time.
