Sherman Lee Decker, age 90, of Lanesville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Todd Dickey Nursing Home surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 30, 1934, in Caneyville, Kentucky to Charles Owen and Zella (Bryant) Decker. Sherman worked at Whayne Supply Company of Louisville, Kentucky for over 38 years as a diesel mechanic until his retirement. After retirement you could find him visiting with his friends twice a day at the McDonalds in Corydon, Indiana discussing and solving the current problems of the world.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Iva Jean (Sloan) Decker, his parents, Charles and Zella Decker, 2 infant siblings, his sister, Vivian Thompson, and brother, Thurnia Decker.

Sherman is survived by his sons, Sherman (Kim) Decker, Richard (Linda) Decker, grandchildren, Leah Decker, Blake Decker, Devin Decker, and several brother – in-laws, sister- in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M EST at Denbo Funeral Home 628 St. Road 64 E, English, Indiana 47118 and again on Monday morning from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M EST.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11:00 A.M EST at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana with Bro. Kevin Naillieux to officiate. Burial will follow in Marengo, Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at www.denbo-dillmanfuneralhomes.com
