Thelma Ruth Cummings, 87, of Eckerty, IN passed away on June 15, 2020 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

She was born to the late Rolley Gilmore and Eva (Carr) Gilmore on April 25, 1933 in Mifflin, In.

Ruth loved her family and her grandchildren; she was the rock of the family.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and puzzles, but really loved sitting on her porch swinging in her porch swing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Cummings, siblings; Truman Gilmore, Fern Leasor, Chester Gilmore, Estill Gilmore and Oren Gilmore and grandson Cory Harris.

Surviving Ruth are her children; Keith Cummings, Coy (Connie) Cummings and Carol (Danny) Patton, grandchildren; Amy Patton, Andrew Patton, Dustin Cummings, Cade Cummings, Greg Cummings, Chris Cummings and Joe Harris and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Thrusday, June 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN. Visitation will start at 10:00 am on Thrusday until 1:00 pm service time.   Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Eckerty, IN.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to The Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
