Thomas J. Nixon, 70, of English, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Louisville, Kentucky in the Veteran's Hospital.
He was born on October 9, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Thomas and Leona (Hentrup) Nixon.
Tom was a United States Army Veteran, and a member of the VFW Post #6160. He pastored Bethel Christian Church for 15 years. Tom enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Nixon, his children; Keith (Pamela) Mock, Teresa (Mike) Bullington, his grandchildren; Amanda (Ryan) Reid, Kristi (RJ) Cox, Tyler (Kari) Bullington, Alicia (Steven) Wiseman, his great- grandchildren; Lorelei, Henry, and Amelia Reid, Kaden and Tayler Bullington, and Jayce Wiseman, his siblings; Ron (Rose) Nixon, Bernard (Brenda) Nixon, Mary (Bill) Huber, Bernadette (Rich) Hopf, and Kathy (Mike) Terwiske, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana. Burial and military Rights will follow at Mifflin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 Pm and then again on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
