Viola Lawhorn, 87, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Lincoln Hills of New Albany.

She was born March 27, 1937 in Dublin, North Carolina to the late Jonathan and Lou (Russ) Russ.

Viola married J.D. Lawhorn and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Wickliffe United Methodist Church. Viola enjoyed bird watching.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Lawhorn; her parents, Jonathan and Lou (Russ) Russ.

She is survived by her sons, Jay Lawhorn and David Lawhorn; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Viola wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
