Virginia Jean Paul Fraze, age 86, passed away on December 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN.
Jean was the daughter of the late Hugh Paul and Cora (Richardson) Paul of Leitchfield, KY. She was born on April 27, 1929.
Jean was preceded in death by James Maurice Fraze, her husband of 40 years, daughters Janice Sue Fraze Holzbog of English, IN and Faith Ann Fraze Miller of Corydon, IN, a brother Bobby Paul of Sellersburg, IN and sisters Nancy Collins of Pennsylvania and Faye Lippke of Pennsylvania.
She is survived by sons Charles (Sue) Fraze of Huntingburg and James (Janet) Fraze of Leavenworth, IN. Jean also had 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Randy (Pat) Paul and Ricky (Linda) Paul both of St. Paul, KY.
Jean was a restaurant owner for many years. She owned many different restaurants throughout her life, mainly in English, IN, where she lived and raised her family. Jean owned and operated the Dime Store in English in the early 70's.
After retiring from her restaurant business she worked for Kimball Electronics in French Lick, IN. In her later years in life she was devoted to being a caregiver, working for The Older Americans, but later working independently and worked into her 86th years of caring for others.
She was a member of Highfill Chapel Baptist Church and was very active in the activities of the church with helping others.
Jean loved to cook and crochet and many people were recipients of her good food and her crafts. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and was very proud of each and every one of her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving and giving person who would do without for herself to be sure that someone else was taken care of.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Denbo Funeral Home in English, IN.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 10:00 am till service time at 1:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Mathers Chapel Cemetery in English, IN.
