William "Ray" Herron, 76, of English, Indiana passed away Monday November 7, 2016 at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, Indiana.
He was born March 1, 1940 in Kentucky to Else Jake and Mary Beatrice (Brown) Herron.
Ray retired from the Crawford County Highway Department and also enjoyed carpentry.
He was preceded in death by Nannie Roberta (Presley) Herron, and his parents Else and Mary Herron.
Ray is survived by his daughters Natalie Woolems (John), Nanette Duke (Vincent), Tina Roberts, son, Eric Herron (Beth); one sister, Mary Lou Wheatley; three brothers Charles Edward Herron, Eugene Herron, and Bobby Herron, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great- grandchildren.
Ray loved carpenter, an avid fisherman and he retired from the Crawford County Highway Dept.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana officiated by Tilden Jones.
Visitation will be held Wednesday November 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana.
Burial will follow in Orchard Knob Cemetery in Alton, Indiana.
