William Lloyd "Bill" Linton, Jr., age 87, of Englewood, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton.  Born on August 30, 1936, in Crawford County, Indiana, son of the late William Oscar & Cecile (Froman) Lynton.

He was a retired Dayton Police officer after 14 years of service.  Bill proudly served in the US Army.

Preceded by his wife, Barbara (Hershey) Linton; sons William Lloyd Linton I, and Jeffery Linton, siblings; Wanda Sturgeon, Beatrice Hardin, Maxine Hambaugh and Floyd Clifford Linton.

Survived by his companion of 14 years, Angela Shay; children, Rhonda Kay (Craig) Flint, Melissa Ann Holbrook, and Samuel Jason (Lisa) Linton; stepdaughter, Chrissy (Jim) Dempsey; grandchildren, Linda, Matthew, Michael, Timothy, Korben, Sophie and Kat; great grandchildren, Ryan and Bailey; siblings, Chris (Juanita) Linton, Alice Faye (Barry) Adams and Janet Sue (Joe) Cortie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Riddle Cemetery for a graveside service.

Visitation will also be on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 10:00 am until service time of 12:00 pm.

Officiating the funeral service will be Bro. Barry Adams with burial to follow at Riddle Cemetery in Leavenworth, IN.
